The journey behind Sudans
Sudans was built from a founder's history of scaling technology companies, a global search for exceptional AI engineers, and a deep commitment to building directly alongside the team in Pakistan.
Before founding Sudans, Jonathan Thralow spent more than two decades building internet companies, SaaS platforms, and technology businesses focused on data, growth, and software innovation.
Beginning in the late 1990s as Co-Founder of Thralow Inc., Jonathan went on to serve in executive leadership roles including CEO, CTO, and CMO. Over his career, he helped build companies that achieved four successful exits between 1999 and 2023.
Recognized three times among the fastest-growing private companies in America, with a highest ranking of #52.
Organizations he helped build received recognition from Entrepreneur Magazine, TIME Magazine, the Tekne Awards, and Internet Retailer.
After decades of building companies, Jonathan shifted his focus toward technology that creates meaningful human impact.
While building the VieroMind Foundation, Jonathan launched a global online AI programming competition to identify exceptional developers. Thousands participated. The winning engineer came from Pakistan.
Rather than simply hiring remotely, Jonathan boarded a plane to Lahore. Over the following twelve months, he spent a total of six months living and working in Pakistan, collaborating side by side with engineers, visiting universities, meeting researchers, speaking with business leaders, and building relationships throughout the country's technology ecosystem.
Sudans was not built around outsourcing. It was built around trust, opportunity, and proximity.
Jonathan placed an online test to find top AI engineers around the world. The winning engineer was in Pakistan.
Jonathan traveled to Lahore, Pakistan and began building relationships with universities, founders, professors, and engineers.
Sudans built relationships with leading universities and set up hackathons and Pakathons in Lahore, Multan, and Islamabad.
From thousands of contestants, Sudans hired twelve developers who became the foundation of the engineering team.
Sudans established its Lahore engineering headquarters inside Arfa Software Technology Park.
VieroMind, Ravius, and Sudans were launched as connected products within one growing AI engineering ecosystem.
